ML661 Linear filler

The Marchesini ML661 is an automatic monoblock machine for the bottles filling and capping. Linear Dosing system and one Capping Turret with 8 heads. Depending on the project and product specifications, the machine can be equipped with a dedicated dosing system. 

Main Features

  • Design, manufacturing and ergonomics, in accordance with cGMP norms.
  • Clear separation between the bottles dosing-capping sections and the drive mechanisms which are placed inside the base frame.

  • Star-wheel to transfer the bottles, after filling, to the capping turret.
  • Capping turret, to be equipped with suitable heads, depending on the required type of closure.
  • Outfeed star-wheel for the bottles transfer, after capping, to the discharge conveyor.
  • Bottles emptying function, at the end of the cycle, selectable from the operator panel.
  • Digital indicators or millimetre scales (where applicable) for easy changeover, with minimum adjustments or replacement of parts.
  • CE marking.

Filling Section

  • Product feeding from customer existing source or from tank available as option.
  • Filling circuit type based on product characteristics (it is possible to handle a wide range of liquids).
  • Nozzles holding rake with continuous vertical motion (for the nozzles introduction into the bottles and their raising in function of the growing liquid level) and horizontal motion (for the walking beam).
  • Valves opening and closing cycle driven by servo motor.
  • Pumps and valves command (in case of volumetric filling), placed inside the machine base frame to avoid the Cross-Contamination risk.
  • Automatic adjustment of the dosing volume (setting from display), nozzles height and dosage walking beam stroke.
  • Product inlet manifold and liquid distributor to the valves.
  • Easy disassembling of pumps and other parts in contact with the liquid.
  • Quick size changeover by replacing the nozzles holding rake.

Capping Section

  • Capping Turret with 8 heads to be quoted in accordance with the required closure type (press-on plug, dropper, reducer plug, screw cap, pilferproof cap, alu seal to roll-on, sealing crimp seam and plug, cap or seal with stem-dip tube, nebulizer, and pipette).
  • Manual adjustment of the capping turret height.

Safeties and Controls

  • Safety guards in methacrylate, integrated in the machine frame.
  • Emergency circuits and protections with safety level “PLd Cat.3”.
  • Machine stop in emergency mode and release of the air pressure.
  • Electronic torque overload control on the main servo motor with immediate machine stop.
  • Minimum and maximum load control on the infeed and outfeed bottles.
  • Control of the product presence in the inlet manifold, with machine stop (control present only if the product feeding is provided by Customer).
  • Bottles presence control inside the scroll.
  • Control of scroll in position, with machine stop.
  • Control of closure presence.
  • Automatic restart after the regular bottles flow has been restored.
  • Machine stop after three consecutive errors.

Not included (quoted separately) 

  • Range of dosing pumps necessary to complete the required dosing format (in case of volumetric filling).

Optional Accessories

  • Washing systems like CIP (Clean in Place) or sanitising systems like CIP-SIP (Steam in Place).
  • Product feeding tank.
  • Automatic adjustment of the turret height made from display, for the size changeover.

Maximum mechanical speed

  • up to 250 bottles/minute
  • The output depends on liquid characteristics, volume to dose and components (bottles and plugs) to handle, as well as automatic feeders and installed accessories.

  • from 0,5 to 300 ml with Stainless Steel Pumps or with Ceramic Pumps

  • External diameter of closure: from 7 to 45 mm

Technical documentation

  • Original standard Instructions Manual (one hardcopy + Pendrive) and CE Certificate are supplied with the machine. A “Food Compliance Statement” is furthermore in accordance with the Regulation (EC) N.1935/2004 and subsequent amendments, for materials, treatments and processing of the machine parts, which come into contact with the product.
